Teaching Staff

PPA-UEM, through its courses, degrees, Doctorate and Post-Doctorate in Administration, has as its concentration area ‘’Organizations and Market’’. The two research fields that guide the structure of the program are: (a) Organizations and Society and (b) Marketing and Productive Chains.

All PPA-UEM professors have doctoral degrees in courses recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (Ministério da Educação - MEC) and work full-time in teaching and research. Professors' qualifications are distinguished in terms of themes, research field and institutions, generating a greater diversity of knowledge, theoretical approaches and different philosophies of thought.

 


 

Research Field: Organization and Society

 

Elisa Y. Ichikawa, PhD holds a degree in Business Administration from the State University of Londrina (Universidade Estadual de Londrina-UEL), a Master's degree in Administration from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC) and a PhD in Production Engineering also from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC). She completed a Postdoctoral internship at the Center for Graduate Studies and Research in Administration at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Centro de Pesquisas em Administração da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - CEPEAD - UFMG). Elisa researches in the area of organizational studies, administration theory, identity, image, symbolic aspects in the organization, among others.

Fabiane C. Verdu, PhD holds a degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Administrative and Accounting Sciences of Lins (Faculdade de Ciências Administrativas e Contábeis de Lins) -1994, Degree in Technology in Data Processing from the Faculty of Informatics of Lins (Faculdade de Informática de Lins) - 1991, Master's Degree in Administration from the Federal University of Paraná (Universidade Federal do Paraná-CEPPAD/UFPR ) and Doctorate in Business Administration also from the Federal University of Paraná (Universidade Federal do Paraná-CEPPAD/UFPR). She was a Visiting Researcher (Post-Doctoral Internship) at the University of Cologne, Germany. Fabiane researches in the area of strategy, strategies for internationalization, strategies for entering in other countries, international markets, among others.

João Marcelo Crubellate, PhD graduated in Business  Administration from the State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá - DAD - UEM), he did his Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Federal University of Paraná (Universidade Federal do Paraná-CEPPAD-UFPR) and achieved his PhD from São Paulo’s School of Business Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation - SP (Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas - EAESP - FGV). He was a Visiting Researcher at Universitat Gregoriana, Italy (Post-Doctoral Internship). João Marcelo was the coordinator of the PPA-UEM for two terms and researches in the area of management theory, institutional theory, strategy and organizational analysis, organizational studies, organizational change, ethics and epistemology.

Josiane Silva de Oliveira, PhD holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - PPGA/EA/UFRGS), with a doctoral internship at Teluq from the Université Du Québec, Canada. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá - PPA - UEM). Josiane has focused her research on the field of Organizational Studies, from an anthropological perspective, with an emphasis in debates on organizational practices, arts, culture and rights. In methodological terms, the research interest is focused on discussions on Ethnography.

Mauricio Reinert do Nascimento, PhD holds a degree in Business Administration from the Catholic Faculty of Business and Economics (Faculdade Católica de Administração e Economia) - 1994, a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Paraná (Universidade Federal do Paraná-CEPPAD/UFPR) and a Doctorate from São Paulo’s School of Business Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation - SP (Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas - EAESP - FGV), with a sandwich Doctorate at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, USA, in 2004. He was a Visiting Researcher at  Max Planck Institute, Germany (Post-Doctoral Internship). He has experience in the area of Administration, with emphasis on Theory of Organizations, working mainly on the following topics: organizational change, sociometric indicators, economic sociology, social construction of markets, social network and interorganizational relationships and institutional theory.

Marcio Pascoal Cassandre, holds PhD in Business from the Positivo University (Universidade Positivo - UP) with a sandwich period at the University of Helsinki. He did Postdoctoral work at Aarhus University (Denmark). He is a researcher affiliated with the Center for Research on Activity, Development Learning (CRADLE)-Institute of Behavioral Sciences from the  University of Helsinki. Holds a master's degree from the State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá-UEM) in 2008, specialization in Marketing from the Institute of Social Sciences of Paraná (Instituto de Ciências Sociais do Paraná) - 2002, specialization in Social Responsibility and the Third Sector Organization from the State College of Economic Sciences of Apucarana (Faculdade Estadual de Ciências Econômicas de Apucarana) - 2004 and graduation in Business Administration from the State College of Economic Sciences of Apucarana (Faculdade Estadual de Ciências Econômicas de Apucarana - FECEA). He is the leader of the research group MEDIATA and also advisor of the International Cooperation Office from UEM. His area of study is Theory of Organizations and Organizational Learning, General Administration, People Management, Qualitative Research, Methodologies in Administration, in addition to developing theoretical-empirical studies on Interventionist Research Methodologies in Organizations.

Priscilla Borgonhoni Chagas, PhD holds a degree in Business Administration from the State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá-UEM), a Master's in Business Administration from the State University of Londrina (Universidade Estadual de Londrina-UEL) and a PhD in Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - PPGA/EA/UFRGS). Priscilla studies topics such as Organizational Studies, Management Theory, Development, Territories and Territorialities, and Alternate Organizational Process. In methodological terms, her research is developed predominantly through qualitative perspectives of analysis.

Cleiciele Albuquerque Augusto, Phd has a degree in Business Administration from the Graduate Program on Business Administration at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - 2015). She was a visiting researcher, via a Sandwich Doctorate, at the Department of Strategic Management and Globalization, at the Copenhagen Business School, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Graduate Program in Business Administration at the the University of Maringá, on Consortium with the State University of Londrina (Universidade Estadual de Maringá/Universidade Estadual de Londrina - PPA - UEM/UEL - 2011), and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the State University of Maringá (UEM - 2009). She is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Business Administration (Departamento de Administração - DAD). Deisy Cristina Corrêa Igarashi, PhD holds a bachelor degree in Accounting from the  State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá - UEM), a degree in Production Engineering  from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC), a Master’s degree in Accounting  from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Universidade Estadual de Santa Catarina - UFSC) and a PhD in Production Engineering also from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Universidade Estadual de Santa Catarina - UFSC). Francisco Giovanni David Vieira, PhD holds a degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from the Federal University of Paraíba (Universidade Federal da Paraíba - UFPB), a Master's degree in Rural Administration (Production and Marketing) from the Federal University of Lavras (Universidade Federal de Lavras - UFLA), a PhD in Social Sciences (Anthropology) from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo - PUC/SP) and completed a Postdoctoral Internship in Business Administration at the São Paulo’s School of Business Administration from Getúlio Vargas Foundation - São Paulo (Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas - EAESP/FGV). He is editor of RIMAR - Interdisciplinary Marketing Magazine from the State University of Maringá (Revista Interdisciplinar de Marketing da Universidade Estadual de Maringá - UEM) and a member of GIPEM- Interdisciplinary research group and Studies in Marketing (Grupo Interdisciplinar de Pesquisas e Estudos em Marketing - UEM/CNPq). Juliano Domingues da Silva, PhD holds a degree in Business Administration (2006) from the State University of Paraná, Campus of Campo de Mourão, a graduate degree in Organizational Communication (2012) from Maringa’s College, a Master's degree in Business Administration (2015) from the State University of Maringá and a Doctorate in Business Administration (2018), in the field of Marketing and Productive chains by the State University of Maringá. He is adjunct professor at the Department of Business Administration (Departamento de Administração - DAD) at the State University of Maringá. Awarded  for the article with the greatest impact on retail at the 8th Latin America Retail Congress (Congresso Latino-Americano de Varejo - CLAV 2015) and awarded ‘’Best Reviewer’’ at the VII Anpad Marketing Meeting (EMA 2018), he has articles published in some of the main national journals of administration. He develops research in the areas of Relationship Marketing, Sales Performances, Control Systems and Intra-Organizational Networks.

Olga Maria Countinho Pepece, PhD is researcher in the areas of Theories of Culture and Consumption, Consumer Behavior and Marketing Management, being one of the pioneers in Brazil on the research of Gift Buying Behavior. She is a member of GIPEM- Interdisciplinary research group and Studies in Marketing (Grupo Interdisciplinar de Pesquisas e Estudos em Marketing - UEM/CNPq). She graduated in Administration at the State University of Londrina (Universidade Estadual de Londrina - UEL), held a Master’s degree in Administration at the Federal University of Paraná (Universidade Federal do Paraná - CEPPAD/UFPR) and a Doctorate degree in Administration with emphasis on Consumer Behavior Administration from the Federal University of Paraná (Universidade Federal do Paraná - CEPPAD/UFPR). Vitor Koki da Costa Nogami, PhD holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with emphasis on Marketing from the Faculty of Economics, Administration and Accounting (FEA) of the University of São Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo - USP). He was a Visiting Researcher (Sandwich Doctorate) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá-UEM), an MBA in Marketing and Advertising Administration from the State University of Londrina (Universidade Estadual de Londrina - UEL). He is currently professor at the Department of Business Administration (Departamento de Administração - DAD) at the State University of Maringá (UEM). He teaches the disciplines of Consumer Behavior, Marketing Researcher, Strategic Marketing Planning, Strategy, Diagnosis, Consulting, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in several specialization courses and MBAs such as the Administration Institute Foundation (Fundação Instituto de Administração - FIA), State University of Londrina (Universidade Estadual de Londrina - UEL), Pontifical Catholic University  (Pontifícia Universidade Católica/PUC - PR) and others. Ana Paula Celso de Miranda, PhD is a researcher in Fashion Consumption. She holds an Administration degree from the University of Pernambuco (Universidade de Pernambuco - UPE), a master’s degree in Administration from the Federal University of Paraná (Universidade Federal do Paraná - UFPR) with a dissertation on Fashion Consumption Behavior, a PhD in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo - USP) with a thesis on Consumption of Fashion Brands. She is also a guest researcher at the Fashion Business Department at the University of Manchester (UK). She holds a post-doctorate degree at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPEAD-UFRJ)  in Consumer Culture.

Marcos Inácio Severo de Almeida, PhD holds a Postdoctoral degree in Data Science and Business Analytics from University of São Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo-USP), Doctor degree in Business Administration from the Graduate Program of Administration at the University of Brasília (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Administração - PPGA/UnB), with a sandwich period at Massey University (co-supervision by Harald van Heerde), and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Brasília (Universidade de Brasilia - PPGAdm/UFV), with research focused on performance in Public Administration. He is a researcher in the Master's and Doctorate in Business Administration at Federal University of Goiás (Universidade de Goías - PPGADM/UFG) and Collaborating Professor in Business Administration at UEM (Universidade Estadual de Maringá - PPA/UEM). He is a visiting  Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN), where he teaches internship subjects and coordinates an interinstitutional international collaboration project with the Indian university. He was visiting  Professor at Coventry University (UK,2018) and at Indian institute of Technology Delhi (India, 2019). He has additional training in Data Science, Econometrics and Machine Learning. His research is centered on explaining the marketing determinants of business performance, in individual or corporate measures, based on data structures organized over time.
